Training
Our Training nights are held at the Munno Para Football Club, Uley and Hanson Rd's Elizabeth Downs. The entrance is via Uley rd and the training grounds are located in the smaller building at the Eastern end of the grounds. The season starts on the first Friday in February and ends on the last Friday in November. Even if it rains...We Train. the only exception is long weekends, Good Friday and Anzac Day or should the temperature exceed 35celsius at 5pm.| * Conformation (show) Handler Classes are available upon request. |
We take new Members on Friday nights at 6.45pm promptly. One of our trainers will take you through a small chat and explain the rules and regulations, handling your dog while here, courtesy and respect of other members, and what our trainers can do for you.
Then its out onto the grounds for your first lesson. This includes the correct way to hold your dog, how to use your slip collar,
the heel and sit commands. All of which you will be encouraged to continue while at home or on your regular walks. Remember our trainers are there to help you, feel free to ask as many questions as you like,
all of our Trainers are professional and take their job seriously. When they are not taking a class, one or more of the other Trainers will be strolling around to watch for anyone in need of a helping hand.
We have ample car parking under shady Trees.
Your Dog.
* Puppies will not be permitted to train under 3 mths of age or 10 days prior to their last shots.* Dogs must be Vaccinated and in good health (current vaccination certificate to be sighted)
* Handlers must notify Instructors of savage, aggressive or any un-social like behaviour to either
people or other dogs.
* Dogs are not permitted off lead or left unattended unless under direction of an Instructor.
* You are asked to "clean up" after your dog, the necessary equipment is
available for your use.
* A suitable Slip collar, Halti or Leather collar to be used. strictly no
spike collars!
* Recommended lead length is 76cm - 30 inch
* Bitches in season will not be permitted to train for a period of 2 -3 weeks.
* No dog suffering from ill health or a contagious disease will be allowed on
club grounds.
Slip collars, leads and various other items are available for purchase from the Clubs
Shop.
We can also advise on suitable other products/items for your dog.

fully fenced and safe training ground.
The Handler.
* Suitable shoes to be worn at all times such as runners. No thongs or bare feet.* Respectable attire such as track pants and t-shirts or jumpers. No flowing clothing.
* Handlers must be old enough to listen and execute our instructions.
* Handlers must also be capable of keeping their dog under control at all times.
* All Members are requested to act in a non abusive manner or they may be asked
to vacate the Grounds and in some cases will be banned from training.
Disabled parking is also available
